Welcome back to some Toon Formula 1 News and on this news bulletin, Aramco Jordan F1 Team will become the factory back team for the brand new Ford engines, originally destined for Red Bull and Minardi RB till recently Honda decided they want to continue the development of the new V8 engine with Red Bull Powertrain Technology (RBPT).

Ford for the meantime had come to their long time partner Cosworth as well as Multimatic Motorsport who run the factory effort Ford Mustang GT3s in IMSA to continue development, this also rekindles an partnership from back when Jordan began in 1991 and also in 2003 and 2004 during the decline of the original Jordan team that later on became Midland, Spyker, Force India/Racing Point and recently Aston Martin, the reason for the swapping from Mercedes to Ford engines is purely due to the pulling out of Aston Martin's involvement in the sport temporary to focus back into Endurance racing which Aston Martins on the road do run with Mercedes engines similar to Lotus that run both Toyota and Cosworth engines, Ford was an obvious choice considering Honda's u-turn commitment towards the Red Bull teams and also will have 6 different engine supliers among the 13 teams in Formula 1 with the uncertainly of Audi now more or less evident with the grids been full and no solution to include them.

In other news, more of the tech regulations as the Formula 1 cars are more reverting to 2000s spec race cars, now includes the front and rear wings and end plates to revert to a more flat and no complex designs similar to again 2000s race cars, also reintroduced is badge boards as the ground effect race cars are to fall on the way side, however for the front wings to be connect to the nose cone it can be left open to designs whether to be directly connected or to revert to been connected by supports which the general feel among the paddock is most if not all cars will be returning to supports on the front noses, the only thing to remain from the 2022-2024 spec cars will be the wheel guards on the front wheels and whole wheel rim covers on the rear wheels as well as the protective halo that was introduced prior to the recent F1 cars.

Gray Fullbuster (Rumoured to be also leaving Mercedes by end of 2025)

Alex Minazuki (Set to be leaving Williams at the end of the year as apart of the Mercedes development ladder, more likely going to McLaren after Jordan going to Ford)

Tom Majors (Set to stay with Haas after returning in 2022 after an one year spell away)

Asuka Langley (Rumoured to be unhappy with the team and is looking to be let go, Asuka's agent Misato Katsuragi has been spotted with the Jordan team earlier this week during the layover of some of the F1 teams)

Andretti Global Cadillac F1 Team:

Scott Denoga (Formula 2 driver, currently 5th in the championship, is 99% confirmed to be making his rookie year in 2025 with the new Andretti team)

Raimundo Pedrosa (Has confirmed to be leaving Aston Martin/Jordan for Andretti, contract was bought out by Michael Andretti on the day of the team's annoucement to be included into F1)

Panasonic Toyota Gazoo Racing:

Venti Barbatos (Formula 2 and WEC reserve driver for Toyota, currently 2nd in the Formula 2 championship, was test driving an Toyota test car in Japan recently, very happy within the team with his input, most certainly will be in F1 without an doubt)

Lotus Geely Formula 1 Team:

Boruto Uzumaki (Formula 2 driver with Toyota backing, currently 3rd in the championship, is rumoured to be picked by the Lotus team by association with Toyota as their "junior team")

Ferb Fletcher (Currently racing in the IMSA Championship with BMW, previously was in Formula 1 till 2021, likely linked with the seat as Lotus do want an British driver within the team)

Outside Formula 1:

Diana Cavendish (Was in Formula 1 till 2021 with Envision Virgin Racing till the F1 team collapsed, went into the Formula E team for 2022 till was replaced due to poor performance, returned to Formula 1 for Williams replacing an unwell Alex Minazuki at the 2023 Italian Grand Prix, resulting in a 6th place, was on reserve and testing duties for 2024, likely to replace Alex when he goes to McLaren)

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz (Rumoured to be returning to Formula 1 likely with Haas who she was with prior to 2022 when outted for Asuka Langley, is racing in WEC currently for the Alpine LMP2 effort currently, Haas has confirmed that if she wishes to do double-duty they can cater to that with agreement with Signatech (who run the Alpine program in WEC))

Retirements:

Son Gohan (Will be retiring at the end of 2024 from Sauber, due to mostly wanting to return to his family and to home, son of the late great Son Goku, the 4 times World Champion in the 80s and 90s, came close in 2008 and hasn't been the same since taking an spring to the head at the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix)

First and foremost, yes i can confirm this is indeed happening, Formula 1 is coming back to Toon Sport world in 2025 and it be an official effort with me and BurstFlame24 providing help on certain bits and pieces but yes and i am here with some news on the regulations in Formula 1 set for 2025, unlike the uncertainly of current Formula 1.

The Changes for thr 2025 Formula 1 season:

• F1 cars will now be smaller compared to current spec, going from 5,500 mm in length by 2,000 mm in width, the 2025 spec Formula 1 cars will be 4,500 mm in length and 1,500 mm in width, in an aim for closer racing, the halo will remain as apart of the design.

• Also F1 cars will return to 13 inch rims with front wheels been open covered rims and rear wheels been covered, Pirelli will only now provide an soft and hard compound tires with inter and full wet tires for rain conditions and their will be no enforcement of having to use both dry tires at some point during the race.

• With the recent controversary during the 2024 Australian and Japanese Grand Prix with Williams having to bench one driver with lack of an spare car, all Formula 1 teams are allowed to use of a spare car ready in the garage to prevent any incidents of sitting drivers out, however the spare car cannot be used as an qualifying car as such in the past.

• All engines will become V8 Hybrids starting from 2025 with an maximum output of 18,000 rpm and 850 brake housepower maximum and 2.4 Litre fuel tanks.

• Refueling is also returning to make better and unqiue strategy, cars and teams can start with whatever amount of fuel they want but cannot be done under Parc fermé between Saturday after Qualifying and Sunday before the curfew is lifted, all fuel also has to be resourcable fuels to save on carbon emission.

• Points system will revert to the top 8 after recent dominations in Formula 1, with 10 for a win, 8 for 2nd, 6 for 3rd, 5 for 4th, 4 for 5th, 3 for 6th, 2 for 7th and 1 for 8th

• Numbering system will revert to pre-2014 with the World Champion's team running Number 1 and 2 then following on will be in constructors championship order (3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21, 22-23, 24-25, 27-28) with numbers 13 and 26 skipped.

Teams wise it will be an little different to real life:

• Ferrari, McLaren, Williams and Haas will remain what they look like in current world.

• Both Red Bull and their "Sister Team" will remain with Honda engines (not power units).

• Mercedes-AMG will be dropping Petronas for Ineos as title sponsor.

• Alpine will return as Renault (regardless of their real life future).

• The Jordan Formula 1 team is back as the ex-Aston Martin team but will continue with Aramco and Cognizant as title sponsors, Lawrence Stroll and Eddie Jordan joint-owners with Jordan having the naming rights.

• Also returning name wise is Italian minnow Minardi known as Minardi RB as Red Bull's sister team, Visa and Cash App also will remain on the team.

• Sauber is reunited with former title sponsor Petronas and will run Petronas rebadged Ferrari engines for 2025 onwards.

Their are three new teams in Formula 1:

• Andretti Global in this world were accepted in Formula 1 and will debut in 2025 with Renault engines, no word if they be rebadged as Cadillac or that is an title sponsor deal.

• Toyota returns to Formula 1 for the first time since 2009, infact their be two teams running Toyota engines, the now Toyota Gazoo Racing team is the same Toyota team from their first venture starting back in 2002.

• Lotus is also an returning name but with now it's 4th iteration, this time owned by Chinese company Geely, it remains an British team and returns with the black and gold livery, they be running Toyota engines which is an shared engines in their road going vechicles.
